BILICO
Magnetic lantern
Divided into two specular halves, the cube transforms itself from a solid and compact element into a lantern, abandoning the heavy structure to become a new and lighter geometric composition.
The magnetic element has a substantial role: in addition to guaranteeing the stability of the structure, it is exploited for its intrinsic capacity as an electrical conductor. By rotating the upper half we not only give a new shape to the cube, but we make it a luminous element, allowing the electrical circuit to close and at the lantern to diffuse light.
